Palisade, in the simplest terms, is an element that allows you to create compositions that protrude above the surface of the ground. It is a material so universal that it can be used as a building material of various flowerbeds. The many types of palisade structures – from smooth to split – and the multitude of forms and colors allow them to fit into different styles of gardens and houses. Thanks to square shapes you will create simple and geometric compositions which find a perfect use in modern houses. Round palisades – facilitating creation of oval forms, soft lines and curves – are a great element for spaces kept in more traditional spirit. The split palisade – imitating natural stone – will perfectly highlight a beautiful flower bed covered with flowers or filled with decorative grit.
If you have no idea what to use for stairs in the garden or around the house, you can use palisades. There are two ways to do this. Firstly: you can build small steps with them. In this role, products with a square shape and smooth texture will work well. Secondly, palisade is a popular way to finish stairs made of ready-made concrete elements or paving stones. Round, square, split – choose products that fit the shape and texture of your steps.
If you own a garden located on a sloping terrain, take advantage of this apparent inconvenience to create several surfaces of green space. You can use palisades to protect slopes, stepped terrain and develop unevenness. These products also work well in the opposite situation: owners of small and level plots can organize the garden, creating its multi-level composition using, among others, palisades to protect the area and improve its image. The so-called multi-level gardens require more work, but the results are worth it. And well-chosen palisades will definitely help to achieve it.
A concrete palisade is also – but perhaps above all – a very attractive edging for paving. Paths, walkways, alleys or terraces built with paving stones or slabs should be secured at the edges to protect them from moving and damage. Using palisades for this is a very good idea for 2 reasons.
